The October 2009 delegation will be co-led by CNI's newly appointed Executive Director, Helena Cobban, a former columnist for The Christian Science Monitor.  It will be investigating the situation of all the region's peoples in the aftermath of last winter's damaging war between Israel and Gaza, and will explore, in particular,  the prospects for lifting the very damaging siege Ithat srael has maintained on Gaza's 1.5 million residents.
