Aid Worker Killed in Iraq
Published September 13, 2009 @ 12:30PM PT

Patronus Analytical reports that an aid worker was killed in Iraq earlier this month:
"Ra'aed Mohammed Saeed (50), an aid worker with the Human Relief Foundation’s office in Mosul, Iraq was ambushed and shot dead near his home on 1 September 2009 according to an HRF statement on the organizations website."
This is the first report I've heard of an aid worker being killed in Iraq this year, tho I imagine the numbers are far higher.
At least 89 aid workers have been killed worldwide so far this year.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Mr. Saeed's family and colleagues.
